One of the first things you are told when you enquire what to do is find out what people are searching for and give it to them. The reason for this is that many people come up with what they think is a really good product that has taken a lot of time and money to produce only to find out that no one wants it…..

How you do this is by putting a keyword or keyword phrase into a program that is designed to give you this information, such as Google’s Keyword Tool.   This is free and being a Google program can be relied upon to give you accurate information.

Once you have this information the next step is to see how much competition there is.   You may think “I don’t want any competition”, but this is not how you should think.   Competition is good, as it means there is money to be made in that niche.

This and similar programs are good as far as they go, but do not address the problem of where to go to get the offer you want to make in front of those who want it.    The thing to do is to use it to build your list and then ask your subscribers what they want.   This is really targetted traffic and is what G V O has been doing lately.

Joel Therien, the owner of G V O has a blog and sends an email to his subscribers when he updates it.  The last few weeks he has conducted a survey asking subscribers what things they wanted to make life easier or more productive for them.

After reading the comments people had made he reported that those who were new to internet marketing wanted  step by step instructions starting with Do This First, then this and so on.    A series of videos have been produced along these lines with more to be added.

We were told during training that the information already existed, but was not chronological which was what was asked for.   This has now been done.

Those who had been doing internet marketing for some time in the main wanted more features in the autoresponder.    This is being provided.
