Internet Conference

On the 26th April 2010 I did a post asking Why Attend Conferences. This was after attending an internet conference in Las Vegas. In it I mentioned that I had met Janet Legere and her husband Don. But I had been in contact with her before as a GVO Presenter. One of the first programs she launched was Contact List Builder and last year she relaunched it and late last year decided to put on a Conference in Calgary where they live.

I booked and attended it. The actual internet conference was from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th April, but I stayed until Thursday 3rd May. Not many attended which was lovely for those of us who did as it meant that we received individual attention.

Many of the attendees at the internet conference live in remote places and had a much harder journey than I did, including those who live in Canada. They had to change planes, whereas I did not. I got a direct flight at about half the price of the more well established airlines.

Internet Conference: Where Were They From

With the exception of myself they were from the USA, or Canada. I was only one from the UK. Someone else from the UK wanted to come but was not able to make it and neither was someone from Mexico. I was the 3rd person to arrive, at 8.00 p.m. local time and after checking in at the desk I was asked to call another room. I did so and then went see the 2 who had arrived before me. The next morning as I was going down to breakfast met another of the attendees, who had come with his wife. Their room was opposite mine. Later as I was going down to lunch was introduced to a friend of hers and invited to join them for lunch.

The internet conference started with a get together in the lounge bar, where I was introduced to Estelle Matthews, who now lives in Calgary but was from Glasgow (of whom more later) and the last attendee who I had not met who had arrived by that time. The last 2 to arrive were James Stone and his wife Diane.   He is an SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) expert and all his programs are based on this (more about them in another post). He is the producer of Prospect Geyser and partners with Janet Legere in it. They hold regular training sessions on it on Wednesdays.

Internet Conference: What Did We Learn

The price of the conference included all our food from Friday evening to Sunday breakfast and we all met in the restuarant for breakfast on Saturday morning.

The first session was at 9.00 a.m. We were told, by Janet that her daughter was coming at 10.00 and telling us how to make a plan to follow to aid us in what we have to do to succeed with our internet business. He name is Tina O’Conner and she arrived with her husband and 3 daughters just before 10.00. She has written and published a book “Be That Girl”, which those of us who did not already have bought from her. 10.00 a.m. is the time Janet conducts her training and Tina talk to us was broadcast from her conference room.

Another of the speakers was the above mentioned James Stone. All his sites are based on using keywords. The procedure is to go to Google’s Keyword Tool, or other keyword search program and put in a phrase that fits what you are wanting to advertise. This gives you a list of similar keyword phrases that people have searched for, how many have done so and what the competition is: i.e. high, medium or low. This is based on the number of sites that have this particular keyword phrase on their websites. The next thing to do is put the phrase in Google and see what comes up. Those at the top are being paid for, so what you want to look at are those that are not and study their source code.

To illustrate how this works we were asked what our passion was and I said that mine was natural health, with particular emphasis on Aloe Vera. I have a website on Aloe Vera but both he and Janet suggested that I got one with the domain name of a frequently searched for keyword phrase and came up with Pure Aloe Vera Juice. I bought it and now have http:purealoeverajuice.com. He told me how to optimise it so I get to the first page of the search engines.

On Saturday evening we had a internet conference dinner in a private room where the guest speakers where Janet’s younger daughter Brenda and her husband Curtis Sim.

As said above I was the only one from the UK with everyone else living in either the US, or Canada. I also mentioned that one of the attendees, Estelle Matthews actually lives in Calgary and both she and Janet took me out to show me the sites in Calgary. Estelle suggested to Janet that it might be a good idea to put on trips next year to show the attendees the Sites of Calgary and surronding districts.

Training at Contact List Builder

One of the first programs Janet Legere launched was Contact List Builder. She moved on to other programs but has recently re-launched Contact List Builder. For quite some time it was in Pre-Launch with only those of us who had joined her other programs knowing about it. But now it has been launched for everyone.

You can join for free, but get more if you upgrade. This includes training in her conference room and access to the recording. She also has a Skype Group that those who have upgraded can join.

What is the Training On?

It is divided into 5 Steps, but with many sub-divisions, some more than others.   It begins with Right Thinking.   It is said that those who think they can and those who think they cannot are both right.   Most of what we do on the internet is mechanical, involving following a proven system.   You find someone who has achieved what you want to achieve and follow what they have done to get there.

Those who join are invited to download the Resolution Success System, by Devlyn Steel, whose Tools To Life she join when it was a physical product sent to subscribers weekly.   Now it is available on the internet on a daily basis and last for 90 days.

She says that most of those who give training assume a certain level of knowledge on the part of those who join, but she does not and from the start gives the basic knowledge everyone needs when they are beginning.  But more advanced training is given and if it is on a topic she is not an expert on but knows someone who is she asks them to give it.

Who has given Training at Contact List Builder?

After telling us how to fix our Goals and Mindsets she moved on to Plan of Action saying:

Armed with your copy of the Resolution Success System, you are now ready to create a list of activities that will move you toward your goal. These activities will include things like

• Blogging
• Social Marketing
• Article Marketing
• Press Releases
• Traffic Exchanges
• Safelists
• Credit Based Lists

Under Blogging she introduced us to Steve Gaghagen and his Blogging Workshop in which he tells us how, among other thins, to choose the correct keywords so our blogs get on the first pages of the search engines.  This comes under the heading of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Net Learning Academy

In the Page on Training Net Learning Academy was mentioned and the fact that it was launched by Robert Puddy, whose areas of expertise are: Traffic Exchanges. His Advertising Know How Traffic Exchange is one of the most popular, with thousands of subscribers.

Initially the script he used for it and his other Traffic Exchanges was exclusive to him, as was the one he uses for his membership sites, such as Net Learning Academy, but he is now selling them to others and is even giving away a Lite Version.

I have purchased both of them and will be telling you about the sites I have set up using them.

Many of those who also give training at the Net Learning Academy have their own Traffic Exchanges which they have launched using the above mentioned script.

Net Learning Academy: Who are the trainers and what do they teach?

On Monday Kaye Towne gives training on how to Construct email promotions and write compelling ad-copy.

On Tuesday James Holmes gives a step by step training on how to create a automated sales funnel to build your list. Instead of constructing his own Traffic Exchange he purchased to already established one: BootScootin and S W A T Traffic. He then got togher with James Stone and launched a site similar to his Prospect Geyser.

Most people are technically challenged, but this is only because they know nothing about it. Chris Houg was determined to rectify this and on Wednesday gives training on: how to cure your tech problems… Topics include Errors! server errors, forbidden errors, mysql connection errors and more!

On Thursday Robert Puddy gives training on how to benefit from membership sites. You start by giving away a free report under the heading of 6 Keys to Skyrocketing Your Success And Traffic Using Free Mini-Courses.

On Friday Janet Legere gives training on prospecting for leads and strategizing your list building. This is at 12 noon and at 3.00 Cat Heiter leads the room with a general question and answer session.

On Saturday everyone comes together and critiques the website of someone who has asked to be put in the Hot Seat.

A lot of posts have been done on Training. This is what teachers do, whilst the pupils do the Learning. But it is not always the same people who do the teaching and learning, they can often change places.

New Years Eve 2011

It is New Years Eve 2011 and at 12.00 midnight it will be 2012. Now is the time to take stock as to where we are and how to proceed in 2012. We can make plans in our head, but if they stays there only what is the use.

What we should do with a New Years, or any other Plan is write them down and be as specific as we can. If we have a plan to follow with detailed steps with the time needed to do them when we sit in front of our computer and know that we have, say 30 minutes, we can do something that will take that time and then tick it as having been done.

I have just been at a New Years Eve conference put on my Janet and Don Legere to bring this year to a close. They spoke and then asked if anyone else wanted to. 4 people chose to do so and told us what their short and long term plans were. Janet said that made their plans so complicated that they were difficult to follow.

She referred us, as she usually does to the Resolution Success System which is a plan Devlyn Steel, who is their mentor and the owner of Tools to Life, a coaching program which those who belong to it visit each day and do the exercise(s) contained in it.

New Years Eve Plan

Janet asked us if we were going to be at the conference she is putting on in her home city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada in April next year. Most of us are hoping to be there. She sdid the the Keynote Speaker will be the above mentioned Devlyn Steel.

Among the other New Years Eve goals mentioned were: loosing weight and improving health, getting out of debt. All those who spoke said that they were grateful for the training Janet provided and that they wanted to do the same thing. Everyone has a talent that they can use to benefit others.

The key, everyone agreed was thinking correctly, knowing what you wanted to achieve and following your passion. If you hate
what you are doing you will give it up.

New Years Eve and what the Plan contains

The one thing the Plan must not contain is where to advertise a program you are an affiliate for. That is unless it provides a means of you getting the name and email address of those who sign up for it. Janet recommends a Funded Sponsoring Program such as Traffic Lead 2 Income and/or Second Income Coach. Both of these allow you to choose which autoresponder to use.

Other programs that do the same are those produced by James Stone. The newest of these is Prospect Geyser, which also has a Safelist and a Traffic Exchange.

Review of 1 Click

Advertising is something every internet marketer needs. Up to recently this meant placing an advert is one place and then another or the same one somewhere else, which is extremely time consuming. In some programs, such as Traffic Exchanges you could put one or more site you wanted people to join in, ensure you had enough credits and leave it. But all this has changed with 1 Click.

Jane Mark and Phil Basten have just launched this, their new advertising site which they have called: 1 Click Marketing Machine which describes what it does. It is in pre-launch at the moment.

All you have to do to make 1 click work is:

1 Enter a title …
2 Then enter the url you want advertised…
3 Then click a button…
4 And walk away…

But you onlydo so if you want to only advertise one site on 1 Click. If you want to advertise more you can upgrade. Like many of their sites if you upgrade immediately you join you get it at a lower price than you would if you upgraded later and if you leave it too long you will end up paying even more.

Payment and 1 Click

Unlike some of their other sites this is a paid site, but it is only a One Time Payment not a monthly one. Like their SoKule site the site you enter is advertised on 2000 good advertising sites. They say more will be added.

There are different levels, but the best one to go for is the highest because this will give you Founding Member status, with benefits not enjoyed by those on lower levels.

Those who buy the upgrade packages will be given SoKule sokens, the amount depending on what level you upgrade to, with Founding members receiving the most.

1 Click and other benefits

As well as using it to advertise your programs you can also use other places to advertise it. You get paid a percentage of what those who upgrade pay, so if you bought near the start and advertise after the price has gone up you will soon get back the money you paid. But at whatever level you are at you can advertise it and earn money.

You won’t be on the internet long before you are told that the quickest way to get yourself, and/or your site on the first page of Google is by writing articles. They have this taken care of with another of their sites Kule Search. Here you buy keywords and if someone else wants it they can buy it from you at a higher price than you paid and you also earn a commission.

But if you don’t want anyone to buy it the best way to ensure they don’t is buy linking it to a site you already own, be it your own or one you are an affiliate for.

This is only one of the ways to promote 1 Click, there are others, including putting a post on your blog about it. Other posts will be done as other services are added.

Search For Keywords and Keyword Phrases

Saturday is, as you know from previous posts, is Conference Day, with me usually attending 2, but last Saturday it was 3. They start at 4.00 p.m. with Joel Therien and his team at GVO,

followed at 5.00 by Janet Legere, her husband Don, and sometimes a speaker. The third one was put on by Jane Mark on how to use her and Phil Basten’s program Kule Search, with special emphasis on Kule Buzz.

Kule Search is a a search engine where you can buy keywords and sell them to make money. You can also buy them and link them to a site that you own, or an affiliate to and get paid by those who want to link to them. Every day a keyword, or keyword phrase is recommended which others may wish to buy and if you don’t link to it they can and you make money.

How Does Kule Search Work

You can join for free, but then you have to purchase KuleBucks, but if you upgrade you are given them, how many depends on the level you upgrade to.

As well as being able to link to a site you can use Kule Buzz and write an article on it. You first have to set it up and when you done this and purchase a new keyword phrase you are asked if you are want to write an article and link it to a site you have put My Linked Sites. If you do you click yes, if you don’t you click no.

Jane Mark said that she looked at some of the articles that had been submitted and she realised that many did not know how to do for the best advantage,

which is to get it on the first page of the search engines, such as Google. That is why she held the conference.

She said that the first thing to do was write an article around the main keyword/phrase you want to use. Then you see what other keywords/phrases are in the article and make a list of them and put them at the top of the article, starting with the main one. Below this put the links to the sites you mention in the article, to put them in, when you set up the article.

Kule Search Keywords and Cost

Some keywords are really expensive, sometimes costing thousands of dollars, but many of them are only $0.200. Often if you join 2 or more words together, such as buildalist, instead of build a list, they are very much cheaper and lower case words are cheaper than those which have uppercase characters.

Before you get any keywords you want to know how much competition you will have and equally important who they are. If the front page of Google is occupied by big well known firms you should consider whether you should go for it because you don’t stand much chance of replacing them. You also want to know how many people are searching for it.

To find out who the competition is go to Google and put it in and see what comes up. To find out how many searches there were in the last month go to Google’s Keyword Tool and put it in and you will be told. You will also be told if the competion is high, medium or low. Once you know this return to Kule Search and see how much it is.

If it is too expensive try the tips mentioned above.
