Do You Suffer From Allergies?

If you suffer from an allergy or allergies you are not alone.  During the last month 4,000,000 people searched for the term allergy in Google.  A program on the BBC last Sunday told us that 20 years ago only 7 children in a class of 40 would have suffered from allergies, but now the figure is 20, which means that nearly 3 times as many children suffer from them now as would have 20 years ago.

Various reasons for this have been suggested, but once you have an allergy what the actual trigger or triggers are is more important than knowing the general reason people are suffering from them.

What is Triggering Your Allergies

The first thing you have to do is establish that you are suffering from allergies and/or intolerances.   There are various ways you can do this.  But first you have to establish whether it is something you are eating, or external cause such as dust.  The easiest way to do this is to detoxify your body by not eating for a couple of days to clear what is causing the symptoms from your body and see if this clears it up.

If it does you know that it is a food that is causing it, if it doesn’t you will know that it is a external cause.   If it is a food the next thing to do is re-introduce foods to your diet until the symptoms return.

But you may not wish to go down this path and prefer to have one of the various tests that are available.   These can be carried out by you attending an allergy clinic and also by sending off a sample of blood or hair to one of the testing centers you can find on the internet.  Once you have established with you are allergic to you will want to:

The first thing to do is cut out what you have established you are allergic to, but then you may wish to see if there is something you are lacking in your diet that if you were having would allow you to eat it if only in small amounts.
